A birch tree (I think), one of many that volunteered themselves in my front yard. Before I moved out of the concrete desert, I would never have guessed that trees could be so prolific.

We've seen at least 5 duck families and two goose families on our like in the last 6 weeks. Here are some pics:

These are taken over the course of awhile now.

Cygnets on mama's back -- this, it turns out, is a standard thing for cygnets to do, early in life. (I'd been surprised by it last year.) It is, nonetheless, still cute. The guy in back evidently has more energy.

The goslings are from a few different groups. There's some broods that hang out together in Attleboro (in various places nearby), and a few that hang out together in Seekonk/Providence. They do walk a hell of a lot, daily, mind you.
