This is the first orange tip I've seen so far this year, in Norfolk, UK, in the out-laws' garden. How's the butterfly-spotting where you are?

Non-existent in Ottawa-Gatineau thus far. Hoping that changes as it warms up here.

Ooh, what a great sighting to catch!

I have not seen butterflies in our area. However on a walk this morning, two of the (few) trees which have blossomed in our neighborhood so far had so many bees buzzing among their branches that I could hear the hum as I walked near them.

I've seen Yellow Swallowtails for a couple of weeks plus another mid sized butterfly I didn't Id by a quick glance, maybe a Painted Lady? No pics yet this year.
Your orange spot is lovely!

The only butterflies I've seen here are Cabbage Whites. We had snow today, so definitely not weather for butterflies now.

That's beautiful. I like the hyacinths and blue grape hyacinths too -- mine are blooming here in central Illinois.

I have seen no butterflies yet. I've seen honeybees leaving their bee tree on a few days. Ladybugs are starting to stir; sometimes I see them in the leaf litter while gardening. Mostly it's been cloudy and cool, though, which is not weather that insects love.
