A walk in the Raby Estate

A view across the fields from Ercall Woods showing that Autumn really is on the way:
The last of the rosebay willowherb- most of it is now seeding:
With the dry weather and local farmers needing to water, Ercall Pool is a long way down:
More signs of Autumn:
And more still:
That old shed lost in the woods has become even more ramshackle since we last passed this way!
The Raby Estate is part coniferous woodland:
And part deciduous:
The fern is beginning to turn:
Over towards the long Mynd and the Caradocs from Spout Lane:
An old locally made drinking trough being used for flowers:
Wenlock Edge from Spout Lane:
A large and rather splendid rowan:
The Ercall from Wrekin Farm lane:
A death cap fungus:
More Autumn colours:
And the path home:
I have to admit that I'm very much enjoying my new camera. I eventually went for another Sony,the A6000 mirrorless with a rather sweet little Zeiss zoom lens.
