Hallo!
Couple days ago, I was driving around in the Middle of Nowhere, Rhode Island, otherwise known as Scituate -- or possibly I'd gotten to Foster... Anyway, sort of more in the northwestern part of the state. I was aiming to get to Glocester, so I could take a walk at a reservoir slightly further west. (As it turns out, I didn't get there, but I did find a good place to walk, later.)
Across the street, in what seems to be a former vineyard, I noticed a big ol' cat. I rapidly came to the conclusion it was in fact a big cat, as in, wild cat, rather than a housecat, and in an excess of caution didn't leave the car, though I did turn around so I was closer. I watched til it decided it was done and left.
I've never seen a wild cat outside of a zoo, so this was, to understate, pretty neat.

Non zoomed in version:

Bobcat lookin' at me:

Then, today, I was doing a bunch of post-rain wandering, and a hawk flew by me and onto a tree. (Red-tailed hawk.)

As Calluna put it, "Ah, this is where he has his head on backwards."

And then, a mill scene near sunset, just because.
