On Sunday, as it was such a nice evening, everyone who was visiting me over the weekend went for a walk on the front in Lowestoft: This is the end of the pier and looking out into the North Sea. The pier here is long as it was a traditional place to embark on Steamer transport. The boat docked at the end of the pier at high tide.
I watch too much American TV ... and you often get shots from under piers in their shows (especially in CSI Miami)... here is my attempt at their idea it done locally!
A family and their dog had a fun time too, but stopped to look up when they saw the moon was out:

Things got exciting when we came back over the harbour bridge and we realised it was going to open for a boat:
This was the boat, pulling fenders (big black inflated sausages of rubber with tyres attached) out to the off-shore rigs. The blurry bit is the black smoke it was giving out as it hurried along burning oil in its engine.
