Growing Ducklings + Duclair

In my last post I updated about the baby geese we'd had around our lake. The earlier duckling batches I posted pics from have now morphed into many many ducks around our place.

The ducklings began stretching out in what seemed like a week.

Then they began to morph out of their fuzziness.

Soon they were looking like teen ducks, followed by looking like adults, just a little smaller.

In the meantime we spotted a different looking duck amidst the adults.

Apparently this is a duclair duck, the first we've ever seen.

Although with all the grown ducklings, he's less easy to spot now, we saw him the other day. No idea if there's a nest of his babies in process.
