We visited the city or Worcester (where the sauce comes from)  last month.

It sits on the River Severn a bit further downstream from where we live.

It's a city full of swans! The medieval monastery kept swans and the population today are their descendants.

They are mute swans of which the city is extremely proud!

They even get into the street art!

There's a feeding scheme run by locals to make sure they get the right sort of food

They even get into the city centre at times!

Love that city centre sign!

What a marvelous thing. I'd love to wander through this charming place.

I have only been to Worcester once as a child and all I remember was King John’s tomb with his nose broken off, I didn’t know about the swans! 😉

I don't think I've ever seen that many swans at one time! Worcester looks like a lovely town.

That's a goodly number of swans! I've only seen that many during migration. They are cranky birds, but so magnificent.

I enjoyed your other set of photos too. I've been to Shrewsbury (because of the Brother Cadfael books, which my mother-in-law was keen on, and so were we), but never Worcester.
