A walk on the Mawddach trail

Pronounced 'More-thack' with a soft 'th' as in 'they'

This is another walk close to Barmouth/Y Birmo where we were staying for our holiday.

The walk was something like seven miles so not one of our longer ones.

So many beautiful photos! I particularly love this one. It makes me want to open the gate and find out where the track leads. Northern Wales really is just too pretty for words!

We did actually go that way and it takes you onto a footpath through the woods which eventually comes out on the River Mawddach.

North Wales is the nearest coastal area from where we live in Shropshire.

I was there three years running with friends and I've always wanted to go back. We rented a house in Old Colwyn 2014-2016 and spent our days exploring all along the coast and out on Anglesey.

We moved to Shropshire from the south of England eight years back and have been exploring the Welsh coast ever since.
