A couple of weeks ago I went for a walk along the river near my house, armed with a decent camera with a wonderful zoom, so I could be a bird paparazzo.

This was taken on the playing fields at Tempe Reserve. There was a flock of these guys eating grass seed. Not sure what kind of parrot he is.

This blue heron lives around people so he doesn't care if you walk past him, bike past him, have small children, or stalk him with a camera. Heron is too cool to care.

Thank you, zoomy camera, for letting me stalk noisy miners.

I saw this guy right after I saw a kingfisher that I desperately wanted to take a photo of, but the kingfisher was too camera shy to catch.
