Do horses count as "common nature"?

'Cause I have been drawing/painting a lot of them, lately. This is Hutton, an Arabian gent who belongs to a friend at the barn. 10 x 10" mixed media on cotton rag paper.



It's gorgeous out there today, cold but clear and wonderful. I'm off to the barn & then to the painting class I'm taking. Because yes, still a student, both places.

That is beautiful! I especially love the way the ears and eyes are so attentive, and the way the background hints at trees but doesn't distract from the lovely horse. :D
