Some wildlife was kind enough to pose for me of late, and I thought I'd share.


A red fox has taken to hanging around nearby. In this photo, the fox is nosing the ground looking for...birdseed. Hey, they're omnivores, right?



A male cardinal on a blue two-tiered table for outdoor plants (currently empty) in the morning light.


A red-shouldered hawk (I think) is also staking out the woods near the house. It particularly enjoys the field nearby. Here it came closer, and in this photo the hawk is picturesquely er, releasing excess weight, before taking off.

Nice! All I ever see is squirrels.

Thank you! We used to just see squirrels at the old house, but closer to the woods we get all sorts. (Including mice. *sigh* Oh, the mice...but they are on their way out!)

(LOL, I avoided that whole post. The first time I saw a mouse, I learned I was one of those cartoon women who climb up onto a chair and say EEK!)
