common_natureI was fortunate enough to see this little cutie in North Shropshire yesterday. It was around 15 feet off the ground, just clinging to the trunk of a large tree and seemingly enjoying the sunshine!
I have no idea what kind of bat it is, I've only ever seen them flying at top speed during dawn and dusk and never in my life seen one out in the day time or so close.
I would have liked to have got much closer to the tree and got a shot looking up into it's little face, but I could tell it was aware of me and lifting it's head and the last thing I wanted to do was disturb it.
