Since it started flowering, the oregano has proven to be a strong rival to the lavender in our garden for attracting insect visitors. This comma stayed the whole weekend.

Those are really beautiful shots, you've captured such a rich and vibrant colour. I had no idea oregano attracted butterflies, must put that on my list of plants I need to find.
I didn't know oregano attracted them either, until I moved here. They also seem fond of the thyme (which is next to it in the herb bed) and has just started to flower in the last two days.
Me too. I'm so happy to have inherited a garden that is a bee-and-butterfly magnet. We are putting our own stamp on it, but very slowly and lightly, because we want to keep the haven that the ladies who owned this house before us created.
