I remember playing with these when I was a kid. We would peel the seed end open and use the sappiness inside to stick the pods on our noses. Was that just us?

Ohhh, I miss the maple trees from my childhood. They don't grow here in the southwest. *sigh*

They are such lovely trees. I'm lucky to admire a red one in the front yard of my apartment building.
