Oh, how lovely! I especially like the second one. The contrast of the red against the bright blue sky is striking.

Thank you! It was the exact moment when the last leaves had dropped but before winter had greyed the sky, and then the migrant redwings arrived from Siberia and began refuelling on the berries.

Oh, the first one looks like a painting - gorgeous. And the rowan berries are so vivid. Lovely photos!

Thank you! Normally, autumn leaves vary in colour through greens, yellows, oranges, reds, and browns, but that water feature only had fallen leaves varying from white-golds through yellow-golds and orange golds to golden browns with the green ground plants for contrast. Most of the rowan berries have gone from that tree now because our winter-visiting migrant Siberian redwings have arrived and refuelled on them.
