Peacock at Powis Castle

We were on a weekend break on the Welsh border, during which we visited Powis Castle. We didn't spot the earl, but surely this peacock would give any nobleperson a run for their money.

He was really quite sparkly. I was impressed.

His feathers were in really wonderful condition. Here's another shot that shows off the ones on his back:

That's an amazing shade of blue.

It's almost the same hue as Cherenkov radiation.
