The harlequin ladybirds are awakening from hibernation

The harlequin ladybirds, Harmonia axyridis, are awakening from their hibernation in my window frames. Yesterday one of them walked across the carpet to my tiny plastic Dalek and bit it repeatedly all over, so I got my camera out. I'm not sure it counts as common nature exactly....

Someone else had already added the tag for a camera-stealing octopus, haha, and I thought it fitted this too. Although maybe sleepy hungry ladybirds trying to eat everything is expected behaviour? I only know that ladybird wasn't planning on giving up!

Maybe it's a cybermat in disguise? Although when it was on the Dalek's back it looked like an especially colourful time beetle.

I was visited by another ladybird infiltrator today so I took some caps of my Andrea minifigure photographing it, but I haven't uploaded them yet (and won't bore the com with them when I do, heh).
