These are great pictures, but I particularly love the Hawthorn. Can you imagine running into that on a foggy evening? I can definitely imagine faces in that ancient bark. :D

I never thought about the faces, but you are right. I thought more in the way of how a whole people of smallish beings could live in the nooks and crannies of that amazing tree.

Thank you! It's not really difficult. I did shots like this over and over again, and over time, one simply "sees" right away how to do it. I usually also do several shots from several angles and even with different programs of the camera, to compare the output later on the computer screen.
