Moon and Hummingbird
Sep. 20th, 2017 01:03 pmThis is the most recent case of what I dub a "low moon" -- meaning that it seems very low and large in the sky.
Unfortunately I've noticed that, as in the photo above, that what we're seeing doesn't really come across well in photos. Instead a close-up gives a better idea of how bright and sharp the moon seems to be.

Our hummingbirds are continuing to visit given we're still getting very warm temperatures here. I particularly liked this one set amidst the branches of a nearby tree.

Here's a closer look as it keeps a territorial eye on our feeder.
