*waves hello to the ring ouzel*
I was just explaining to
kaberett
about the special relationship between Peak District climbers and ring ouzels:

Oh wow that's the sweetest. And yep, there are a couple of
climbing routes
a few hundred meters in the direction the ouzel is looking at.

I notice so much more stuff when I take pictures than when I don't, so yes, I very much recommend it :)

Ring ouzel eating ...something.
Maybe hunting to feed a nest as I'm seeing many robins around here in a similar pose :) Is there nesting going on now?

If they're like their cousins the blackbirds, then that's very likely!

I love the bullfinch photo! I don't think I've ever seen one in summer before.
And the ring ouzel photo is so cool!

This is my first time seeing both of these birds, too! And yep, it's amazing what you can catch with a teleobjective and burst mode shooting

Wonderful pictures. I had a male bullfinch in my garden the other day. Was so pleased, as it hasn't happened for years. They were so common when I was young.
