Fall Harvest

For many years the lot next door has been planted with corn, which is always allowed to dry out before harvesting. As it turned out the timing of these photos was good because the corn was reaped the day after these photos were shot. Certainly gives a particular seasonal look though.

That's a lovely fall scene.

I loved the soft colors, but the scenes were so pretty.

Fields are clear here now- wheat,oats, barley and rye- even the maize which takes longer here than it would with you. Potatoes were in a while back.

Yeah, it's harvest month in this hemisphere. It's cool that we'll get two moons this October as well.

That second shot is lovely! So delicate the way nature arranges itself.

Yep! Just because something isn't deliberately planted doesn't mean it can't be pretty :)
