Seeing the Sunrise

By chance I was up early to get to the grocery store (an effort that was worth it for the empty aisles and checkout area) and saw a rather interesting sunrise. I've posted in the past month or so a contrail sunset. Apparently the jets have been very active because not only have we spotted them almost every day, but this morning it was clear they had been out at dawn. The sky was covered with cloudy streaks which went on so far it made the sky seem like a bowl.



In the bottom pic, I spotted the moon below a dissipating trail.

You get a lot more contrails than us, I suspect.

Thanks! And we always saw some from time to time or even heard jets overhead, but the past few months have had an unusually high level of activity. Cheaper fuel costs? Who knows?

My mother noticed the absence of contrails very sharply after 9/11, living among busy airports.

We get the occasional one over from Birmingham (UK) airport but in present times even those have been rarer.
