While on a walk recently I was briefly chased by a goose, which was a little baffling until I saw a batch of goslings near a retention pond. Overprotective much?
So when I saw two geese by our lake, seemingly standing at attention, I suspected babies might be about. Sure enough, I spotted three of them when I hauled out the camera. I was particularly pleased to capture the bottom photo when two of the babies started running to join the third which had started wandering off.
Also a few more pics:
From last month when this duck couple was scouting out nest locations. (Wherever the nest went, it wasn't apparently behind those trees).

A view of petals clogging the gutters.
