Watching them scoot along through the tall grass is quite impressive, especially since you'd think it would be the equivalent of us trying to run through a corn field.
They really are amazing -- the way they zoom through water is boggling, especially given that less than 24 hours earlier they were just emerging from eggs but are active little bundles within the hour.
Thank you! She was very protective; you can see this especially in the photo where both the ducklings have their eyes closed and hers most decidedly isn't.
