Some wildflowers from a recent walk.
We have a large hibiscus which is more of a vine than hibiscus actually. Come the end of summer it has to be cut back to a stump for it to regrow the next year. Last month it popped out its first flower and two of our other hibiscus decided to bloom the same day.

I caught the hummingbird coming and going at one point as well. I think it might have been last year when a hummingbird decided to investigate a closing bloom -- which is so big that the hummingbird disappeared inside it -- the stem alone was longer than the bird!
