Peanut Success

It was snowing all yesterday in rural Worcestershire, UK, so the peanut feeder was especially busy. This industrious blue tit was very pleased with its success.

Thank you! It has been unusually cold here for over a week. It was -10C when I got up this morning. We've been trying to make sure there is water available as well as topping up the food supplies daily.

It didn't get quite that cold here, but I definitely heard about it from coworkers. We thought about digging out our old birdfeeders and buying some seed, but our garden is in the process of being turned into a wildflower meadow, so we didn't want to add extra seeds into the mix this year. Water, we've been doing, though.
