White-tailed Deer

I ran into this lady while hiking today.



And she had a friend. This one was smaller, maybe a juvenile? I'm not very knowledgeable about deer.



They are quite common here and can be tolerant of humans. I was reminded of this video I took last November of a sighting in my neighborhood:

I used to see mule deer when I lived on the west coast of the US, but where I live now I think white-tailed are the only deer around.
