Birds, At Home and Not

From earlier this summer, a view of a local hawk.



I am amused at how it looks like it's posing for a coin above and below looks like it was stumped by a difficult trivia question.



No more goose babies this year, but here are a few more.





A few more birds from the Oregon trip, which we saw at the Wildlife Safari in Winston, Oregon.



This grey crowned crane came right up to our car window.

Goslings are so unpredictable. The color varies and is sometimes obnoxious.

I've never seen a grey crowned crane before. What a stunner!

Makes one wonder if they're related to peacocks because they are lookers, alright.

I do love hawks - and a red-tailed hawk is lovely! Turkeys are so odd-looking...

I love grey crowned cranes. They're such chill creatures.

Those photos of the hawk are fabulous! The goslings are adorable and the crane very majestic.

That first photo of the hawk has such a white-shirtfront-and-waistcoat effect, it's hilarious once you get over the general awe.

I've never seen a crane of that sort, wow!
