Angle shades moth caterpillar

I was weeding the garden the other day and disturbed this electric green caterpillar, which I think will eventually become an angle shades moth, assuming it likes its new location under a large aquilegia plant!

He was not best pleased at having his nap interrupted, though I tried to be as gentle as possible when relocating him!

He's so pretty. I remember find thing caterpillars like that when I was a kid. I guess like imaginary friends you stop looking for them when you get to be an adult.

I don't want to be an adult anymore.

:/ I think we adults get so wrapped up in thinking about other things that we often forget to notice what we're actually doing right now. I know I wasn't concentrating on inspecting the soil I was digging in because I was completely surprised when I realised the caterpillar was right underneath me.
