yourlibrarian: Sunse Dolphins (NAT-SunsetDolphins-niki_vakita)
[personal profile] yourlibrarian posting in [community profile] common_nature
Crossposting some items from my latest blogpost. I had some past posts of the giant fish in our lake. Despite our long stay here we don't see them often. But last week we spotted a fin circling around...

I daresay the swirling patterns of its movement are particularly obvious because of the algae just below the surface.

Our amaryllis were in bloom recently, all of them popping up around the same time.

What I liked about this sunset pic was how the water reflection made it look like the shape on an eye -- one that was closing.

I like fish, and you don't see as many pictures of them - yours are cool. And I'm hooked on your nesting birds updates! Robins' nests can be pretty sturdy, though; I have one from last year in the top of a small maple tree that looks as though it's still move-in-able.
