Woodpecker in the rain

No matter how hard it rains I don't think I've ever seen a bird looking wet before but this Great Spotted Woodpecker (Dendrocopos major) that visited one of my feeders today looked distinctly damp!

A male Great Spotted Woodpecker (Dendrocopos major) has been visiting my bird feeders the last couple of weeks and today I managed to take this photo of him:

Works very hard to extract each peanut from the feeder, then flies to sit on the branch and munch on it.
