Christmas in April

Despite the calendar, nature appears to be hanging on to winter this year. So we got snow just this week.



What I liked about the above photo was the goose tracks in the snow. Similarly, below what I liked was the snow track behind the male mallard and the ripples around the female (though it's rather hard to see)



Lastly, our Christmas cactus decided to bloom again. Apparently it thinks it's December too.

You and I must live in the same part of the country. There was a blizzard in my neck of the woods this past weekend, and as I type this the snow in my neighborhood is knee-deep.

The songbirds all seem so perplexed right now.

I suspect you're farther north or west than we are but it was still plenty perplexing for all of us! Last Thursday we were in shirt sleeves. By yesterday we were back in winter coats.
